Background on the subject. first off, I hate home made sandwiches. Can't stand them and could never figure out how people eat them. The past while we have been trying to take lunches to work to obviously eat better and save money kind of a win win all the way around but I have not been able to discipline myself enough to take a sandwich everyday like my beautiful wife does. Couldn't figure it out UNTIL TODAY! Generally speaking the sandwich is construct in the following manner:
2 slices whole wheat/natural grains/ brown dry bread
3-4 slices of kick ass turkey sometimes ham
1 slice of sharp cheddar
miracle whip
pretty decent sandwich and everyone has told me on several occasions that it looks good etc etc... However, i still ended up struggling with choking down dry grainy bread, globs of miracle whip (cause i thought it was a moisture issue), and chasing it with some energy drink- redbull, amp, adrenaline rush etc etc. So anyways, today someone else brought in a sandwich and understand this is like a 40 year old dude who suffers from ADD and bounces off the wall like a 5 year old kid on 20 redbulls if he takes a hit of 6 oz of diet coke. his sandwich had like half a bottle of MUSTARD... how in the hell did i forget mustard? why didn't think of this before? Now half a bottle maybe excessive but that is the key to any sandwich i'm convinced and will be experimenting with the correct mustard portions this evening. just figured i'd let you all know.
BTW: Also convinced now that people who like CLassic Lays potato chips over the new zesty pizza flavored taco infested ranch drenched Doritos are like chip connoisseurs. we discussed at length about the subtle salty taste mixed with the perfect amount of potato flavor and how it can really be enjoyed if the correct amount of time is spent in savoring the taste. he also brought up good points on how the thickness of the chip in direct proportion to the size and shape of the Classic Lays adds an increased sensation with every crunch. Doritos really are like the cheap MGD's or Natural lights and while many will fool themselves by buying sour cream and onion or sour cream and cheddar Lays bags its really just like the wanna be college student cutting his Pinot Noir with cranberry juice.

You crack me up baby! :D
Nice usage of the How I Met Your Mother pinot noir joke too ;) Love you!
PS Doritos will always kick classic Lays butt.
Generally everything i say is scripted from a movie or some other source. not much is created by myself just a collection of random useless things that i've trained myself to mix match and most important communicate at the right time.
The French rolls don't hurt either. Remember at the beach, I thought those were good!
Haha, I wonder if mustard is the answer to your sandwich troubles. By the way, I noticed you named a few energy drinks... have you ever tried 6 Hour Power?
Their energy shots are my favorite pick me up... they have zero calories and no sugar, and they come in 5 different flavors. They also don't end with the dreaded crash. Check them out at www.6hrpower.com
By the way, I hope you don't mind me commenting your blog, Daniel. I work with 6HP so if you have any questions about the drink just ask. We'd love to hear what you think of our drink!

Those sandwiches were really good! I'll have to remember the french rolls next time i'm at the store.

You're more than welcome to post on the blog. Never tried the 6hr power. Generally speaking i just drink energy drinks to look cooler than those who walk around with their DP's and diet cokes. Those energy shots I've seen in gas stations and they always remind me of those trucker caffine type pills designed for the hardcore long haul. Next time I see one I'll give it a shot and let you know.
Hey Daniel, 6 Hour Power definitely works great for long road trips, but they make a great pick me up pretty much for any occasion where you would need some energy for a while. I often take them before work and they work really well.
Besides gas stations, you can also get them at convenience stores like 7-11 and, of course, online. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on 6 Hour Power.
Michael would agree on the mustard part. Yuck! I can't get him to eat a sandwich without mustard unless it is grilled cheese.
oooohhh... Mustard on a grilled cheese. there is an idea. Some sharp cheddar melted around a line of mustard. You might be on to something there.
